Red Rocks, Las Vegas
After an epic 24 hr drive with my buddy Jesse Cuthill, we finally made it to the desert of Las Vegas, NV. Hearing about Red Rocks, you never really can picture the rock actually being red...until you see. Man, what a site this place is. With endless climbing as far as the eye can see, one could spend years here climbing all the routes. Our main agenda with this trip was to attend the "Red Rock Rendezvouz" to teach clinics and hang with the industry. It was a great experience teaching clinics to those who were enthusiastic...for sure going back again next year. Aside from the actual event, I was able to get in 4 days of climbing. And that we did. Climbing at places like the Pier, The trophee wall, Secret 13, Wake up wall, all of it was so sick. Such different climbing when grabbing sandstone. At first it was hard to trust, but after a few routes things settled down just fine. Red Rocks is a must destination.
