North Cascades, WA Pass
The North Cascades has everything from multiple sport crags offering routes to all levels as well as alpine routes that push around the most confident at heart. The North Cascades, however, are very well known for the many Alpine routes put up by the clydesdale, "Fred Beckey". It's amazing to think that all the routes that he put up, the gear he used, the endless amounts of energy, he really is a legend in the alpine world for first ascents.
At the base of the Cascades lays this unique little town called Mazama. You wouldn't think much of it, but the energy there, the atmosphere created by the locals, it's super cool. The local store has everything from amazing food, beer, prana clothing, and toys. Yeah, even toys! The North cascades is definitely a place to check out if ever in the area of Washington Pass. If you love alpine it's definitely there, if you love sport craggin, again...there...and if you love multi-pitch sport, also there.
